As you’d expect from an actor who has played his fair share of black-hearted men, Michael Rooker likes things dark. Really, really dark. Particularly when he’s watching a movie.
“I want my theatre to be dark,” says Rooker, lamenting how little respect is shown to audiences these days when they shell out money to see a movie at the cinema. A movie like, say, Guardians of the Galaxy, in which Rooker plays the blue-skinned, metal-mohawked Yondu, a major thorn in the side of Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and pals.
“Keep your cellphones in your pockets, and turn out those dadgum safety lights!”
